Refund and Returns Policy

(Not everything gets to come back.)

Made-to-Order Furniture

Each piece is made just for you, based on your chosen finish — which means it falls under customised goods in terms of the Consumer Protection Act (Section 20). That means:

No returns, no exchanges, no take-backs — unless something’s genuinely wrong.

What qualifies:

  • Factory faults
  • Mechanical issues (hinges, runners, etc.)
  • Wrong item delivered
  • Damage in transit (must be reported within 48 hours)

To report an issue, email almostsquaresa@gmail.com within 48 hours of receiving your piece — with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the problem
  • A quick description (no essays please)

If it’s on us, we’ll repair, replace, or refund. Fair’s fair.

In-Stock Decor Items

These can be returned within 10 business days of delivery, if:

  • The item is unused and in original packaging
  • You notify us first (no surprise returns)
  • You cover the return shipping

We won’t accept returns if the item comes back:

  • Used
  • Scratched/damaged
  • Poorly repackaged or missing parts

Refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after the item is returned and inspected.

Digital Products

Downloaded it? It’s yours.

As per CPA Section 42(2)(f), digital goods are non-refundable once delivery (aka download) begins.
Check the details before you buy. We’re good, but we’re not undo-a-download good.

Not Eligible for Returns or Refunds

  • Change of mind
  • Colour doesn’t match your throw pillow
  • Natural wood behaviour (cracks, movement, grain variation)
  • Damage from sunlight, heat, water, cleaning products, pets, toddlers, or poor decisions

Final Thought

We’re here to make things that last — and make you happy.
If we mess up, we’ll fix it. If you just changed your mind, well… that’s between you and your couch
